The New Orleans Moonshiners at Donna's

Time:
11/14/2008 10:00pm - 11/15/2008 1:00am

What started as a banjoist and a trombonist roaming around New Orleans, playing on the street, sitting in at clubs, and going wherever they could go to play jazz, has transformed into a collaboration of several dedicated young musicians with one goal in mind: carrying on the tradition of New Orleans style traditional jazz. With a median age of 27, the New Orleans Moonshiners represent the next generation of New Orleans jazz men and women. With a vision and a sound uniquely their own, their repertoire includes traditional spirituals, Tin Pan Alley, swing, and hot jazz from the 20’s.
