Hello, everyone! LIOSA (Lindy in Old San Antonio) 2009 is coming back for a second year on February 13-15! Yes, it's Valentines weekend, but why spend it with your one true love when you can spend it with SYLVIA SYKES!?!?... besides, everyone knows Swing is your one true love.
Some details:
Lessons will run Friday night, Saturday all day, and Sunday afternoon with dances on Friday and Saturday night.
Lessons will include Lindy, Charleston, Blues, and more!

This event kicks off with a pre-dance blues jam on Thursday, September 16th.

Come celebrate the opening of Dance Quarter LLC, New Orleans' new home for social dancing. Dance Quarter will offer dance classes, workshops and parties through which people will improve their dancing skills and reconnect with Jazz music, friends and families.
Nathalie Gomes and colleagues invite you to join in their kick off party which will feature free lessons, dance demonstrations and open dancing.

Kenner's Italian Heritage Festival will be held on September 13th & 14th 2008 in Kenner's historic Rivertown.
Festa Italiana is a fun-filled, free event with live music for the entire two days. We have food vendors that participate and sell delicious Italian food and drink as well as crafters who sell their handmade creations. This year we will have face painting, Local Bands, a demonstration of the "Tarantella" and cooking demonstrations by area chefs for the adults. The highlight of the festival will be a feature performance by, Louis Prima, Jr.
