Description:

The Sentimental Serenaders is a 17 piece big band with 3 trumpets 2 trombones 5 saxes and rhythm. We began in 2000 as a fox trot orchestra playing the 1920's and 30's music from the vaudille stage and in one year we were into the big band charts. All of the music is absolutely great so the fox trots remain in the mix There is a great appeal of the banjo and tuba with this almost jazz stuff.

The big band music mixed with the fox trots makes for a nice entertaining show. . Novel vocals ,trios and duets and sometims a quartet doing SUNNY SIDE OF THE STREET OR CHATTANOOGA CHO CHO, is really in the style of the big band era. These big band charts take a lot of pratice to pull off and a lot of good players and we do and have both. Dedication to the music and adding a lot of variation in what we play makes for a very entertaining show. We do play for the dance crowd and we have started a series of public invited dances beggining this March 3 rd in covington ,La. Up dates about our coming events will be announced at this web sight.
