Hey y'all!
This Saturday, Krewe du Vieux rolls through the Marigny and French Quarter, starting for 6:30. I'm in the Krewe of Underwear, and we're the first sub krewe in the line up. Look for me, cause I'll be a few too many sheets to the wind to look for y'all, and I'll reach into my bag of goodies for a throw for you. If I run out by the time I get to your leg of the route, I'll give you a ... swingout! Oh, and Underwear's band this year is the phenomenal EGG YOLK JUBILEE!!!!
We've had a lot of newcomers join our swing community in the last year, and if you're new to town, this is one of the best parades (if you're into x-rated and/or political satire). Lots of fun! And lots of great music--brass bands follow each sub krewe.
