Southwest Louisiana temporarily relocates to Uptown New Orleans this weekend for the fourth Cajun/Zydeco Dance Fest at Tipitina’s, with two full days of live music and dance contests. Geno Delafose kicks off the festival Saturday at 1 p.m., followed by the Pine Leaf Boys, the Joe Krown Swing Band, the Cajun Troubadours and T’Canaille and finally Fredy Omar; in between the bands are zydeco, swing, Cajun and “Latin salsa” dance contests. Donation is only $10 per day (kids under 12 get in free); proceeds benefit Bridge House and Grace House, local philanthropic endeavors.
